Vatutinki, Russia – German football federation president Reinhard Grindel visited his team’s training session on Monday and called for a reaction to the shock opening World Cup defeat by Mexico.
The listless holders were beaten 1-0 on Sunday and a rampant Mexico side could have won by even more had their final pass been more accurate.
Grindel, alongside team manager Oliver Bierhoff, watched training while media were completely shut out.
«Mexico wasn’t a knock-out game. Now we have to show the right reaction against Sweden and South Korea,» Grindel said in a tweet.
Germany next face Sweden in Sochi on Saturday before meeting South Korea in their final Group F game four days
