Datanalisis: Lorenzo Mendoza, María Corina Machado and Leocenis García displace the leadership of the MUD in intention to vote in Venezuela.
Caracas April 2, The Datanalisis firm, exposed this Monday data of its most recent study on the possible political scenes that Venezuela carries out. In a survey conducted from March 15 to 27, a margin of error of 3.70% and a level of confidence of 95%, gives rise to the possible leadership spaces of the national policy.
For this group of experts, in the recent study, independents stand out as the most robust political segment of the population with 41.4% due to the disappointment and repulsion of voters towards traditional parties, followed by the opponents who represent around one third of the interviewees with 34.6%, while the pro-government group is close to 19%. In the investigations the interaction between opponents and independents is noted, groups that feed on each other depending on the political conjuncture of the moment, while the pro-government ones seem to have reached their nucleus.
In the face of a contest in which primary voters were called, the respondents of those who define themselves as opponents opted for alternatives to the traditional opposition leadership. Precisely, Lorenzo Mendoza reaches 11.9%, followed by María Corina Machado with 6.5 and continues Leocenis García with 5.9, above traditional leaders such as Henrique Capriles (3.4), Henry Ramos Allup (3,2), Leopoldo López (2,7), Antonio Ledezma (2,0), Julio Borges (0,4). Although the option «none or would not vote» reaches 24.6% and «does not know» 21.6% and «does not answer» (4.4).
When spontaneously consulted only those who call themselves «independent», the resistance to participate rises to 60%, and among those who would vote in a primary they would do it by Lorenzo Mendoza (6,1), Leopoldo López (2, 4), María Corina Machado (1,5), Leocenis García (1,3), Eduardo Fernández (0,6), Manuel Rosales (0,6)
When taking into account the disqualifications, a scenario was placed where there are primaries involving Henry Ramos Allup, Henry Falcon and Leocenis Garcia, the result is complicated for Falcon. in the opposition vote he would have 27.3%, and Leocenis would have the second place, being his push a probable rejection to the traditional leadership more than a nominal support, however it is outlined as the closest competition to Falcón with 26.2%, all this framed in a participation in their natural groups that would not be overwhelming, while Henry Ramos would have 12.8%.
When the question is asked only to the independents, these are grouped in the following way: Henry Falcón (28), Leocenis García (13,7), and Henry Ramos Allup (5,2).
The survey shows a rejection of the traditional political class, and the emergence or growth of leaders other than the MUD, including Falcón, Lorenzo Mendoza, and the leader of «Vente Venezuela», María Corina Machado. Finally, the businessman and journalist Leocenis García who enjoys the backing of his ProCitizens Movement, composed mostly of young students and the resistance, with a liberal discourse, which defends free enterprise and individual initiative. Leocenis García according to the survey is perceived mainly as independent or opposition.
The Datanalisis study states that there is a low intention of participation if only the group of «very willing» as hard voters is considered which only reaches 33.0%. Expectedly, the least willing to participate are opponents and non-aligned projected with 18.1%, which are influenced by the call of the opposition leadership not to legitimize this process, in addition to natural attrition or the fear of no transparency in the process.
