Waitrose and John Lewis recommend to wear masks after July 19th

Waitrose and John Lewis staff and customers will continue to wear the masks, but not on a mandatory basis as this will ultimately depend on individual judgment.
A spokesperson for the John Lewis Partnership, the parent company of both brands, commented: “In accordance with government guidance, we will recommend that our customers and partners in England continue to wear a face cover, unless exempted from July 19th”.
“The decision on whether to do it or not, when it is in our stores, will be made by each individual, according to their own criteria.In all our stores we will keep methacrylate screens and hand disinfection stations”.
“We will also maintain all the hand hygiene and store cleaning disciplines that have served us well since the start of the pandemic.”
