A\u00fan cuando la compa\u00f1\u00eda brit\u00e1nica advirti\u00f3 que sus marcas no pod\u00edan venderse sin su autorizaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>La informaci\u00f3n fue publicada por la\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ciarglobal.com\/kellogg-presenta-arbitraje-de-inversiones-contra-venezuela\/\" target=\"_BLANK\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">revista del Centro Iberoamericano de Arbitraje (CIAR),\u00a0<\/a>detallando que la demanda se present\u00f3 ante el CIADI el 9 de noviembre de 2023. Kellogg invoca el incumplimiento del Tratado Bilateral de Inversiones Venezuela \u2013 Reino Unido de Gran Breta\u00f1a e Irlanda del norte de 1995. El procedimiento se presenta bajo el Reglamento de Arbitraje del Mecanismo Complementario del CIADI.<\/p>\n<h2>Cese de operaciones de Kellogg\u2019s<\/h2>\n<p>En mayo de 2018, la compa\u00f1\u00eda productora de cereales Kellogg ces\u00f3 sus operaciones en Venezuela ante el empeoramiento de situaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica despu\u00e9s de permanecer en el pa\u00eds m\u00e1s de cincuenta a\u00f1os. Kellogg manifest\u00f3 que esperaba volver a Venezuela y advirti\u00f3 contra la venta de sus productos sin su autorizaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>El gobierno de Nicol\u00e1s Maduro, que tach\u00f3 la salida de Venezuela de Kellogg como inconstitucional, confisc\u00f3 la f\u00e1brica de cereales y la entreg\u00f3 a los trabajadores venezolanos para que continuaran con la producci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>En octubre de 2019, Kellogg difundi\u00f3 un comunicado en el que denunciaba la expropiaci\u00f3n de sus activos y el uso indebido de su marca en Venezuela.<\/p>\n<p>En abril de 2020, en plena pandemia por el covid-19, la imagen de los cereales Corn Flakes fue modificada en Venezuela incluyendo una mascarilla al dibujo del gallo que los caracteriza.
