{"id":12213,"date":"2020-05-27T16:28:12","date_gmt":"2020-05-27T16:28:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/noti-america.com\/site\/venezuela\/2020\/05\/27\/el-cancer-de-pulmon-mato-a-13-venezolanos-por-dia-durante-el-2019\/"},"modified":"2020-05-27T20:28:20","modified_gmt":"2020-05-27T20:28:20","slug":"el-cancer-de-pulmon-mato-a-13-venezolanos-por-dia-durante-el-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/noti-america.com\/site\/venezuela\/2020\/05\/27\/el-cancer-de-pulmon-mato-a-13-venezolanos-por-dia-durante-el-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"El c\u00e1ncer de pulm\u00f3n mat\u00f3 a 13 venezolanos por d\u00eda, durante el 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Nota de Prensa<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El \u00a080% de los casos de esta enfermedad oncol\u00f3gica pulmonar est\u00e1 ligado al tabaquismo, de acuerdo con datos de la Sociedad Anticancerosa de Venezuela (SAV)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El a\u00f1o 2019 arroj\u00f3 un total de \u00a04.592 muertes por c\u00e1ncer de pulm\u00f3n, lo que representa alrededor de 13 fallecimientos diarios por esta enfermedad oncol\u00f3gica. De la cifra total, 2.701 fueron hombres y 1.891 mujeres, de acuerdo con los datos que maneja la Sociedad Anticancerosa de Venezuela (SAV).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El gerente general de la SAV y pediatra sanitarista, Juan Saavedra, explica que del total de estas muertes, el 80% est\u00e1n relacionadas con el tabaquismo, un h\u00e1bito que ocasiona da\u00f1os al sistema respiratorio, pero que \u00a0tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 asociado a otras enfermedades oncol\u00f3gicas de los pulmones, cerebrovasculares y del coraz\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Por su parte, el m\u00e9dico neumon\u00f3logo del Grupo M\u00e9dico Santa Paula (GMSP) Andr\u00e9s Orsoni, enfatiza en las consecuencias del uso del cigarrillo \u201c\u2026Causa afecciones respiratorias como el c\u00e1ncer de pulm\u00f3n y de las v\u00edas a\u00e9reas, por supuesto. Adem\u00e1s, produce enfisema y fibrosis pulmonar. Entre las no respiratorias se pueden mencionar las enfermedades sist\u00e9micas cardiovasculares y coronarias, los accidentes cerebro-vasculares (ACV)\u00a0 y c\u00e1nceres extra pulmonares como de vejiga y pr\u00f3stata\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Entre las consecuencias del tabaquismo, Orsoni advierte sobre adicci\u00f3n a la nic\u00f3tica, que es una sustancia \u201caltamente adictiva\u201d como las drogas recreacionales, que tienen efectos negativos en el sistema nervioso central.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Tabaquismo en Venezuela<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De acuerdo con el estudio Evescam, realizado por la Sociedad Venezolana de Medicina Interna, para el a\u00f1o 2018, \u00a0la prevalencia del consumo de tabaco en el pa\u00eds fue de 10,8%. Este porcentaje representa una disminuci\u00f3n de 39% con respecto al a\u00f1o 1984, <strong>\u00e9poca en que casi la mitad de los venezolanos (49%) ten\u00eda el h\u00e1bito de fumar. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aunque estas son \u201cnoticias positivas\u201d, Saavedra advierte que actualmente Venezuela ha \u201cbajado la guardia\u201d con respecto a regulaciones y campa\u00f1as con el uso del cigarrillo electr\u00f3nico o vaper, que se ha puesto \u201cde moda\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cLo que ahora nos amenaza es el cigarrillo electr\u00f3nico, las pipas, el vaper\u00a0 y todas esas variaciones. Ahora la industria tabacalera, que mata alrededor de 8 millones de personas en el mundo anualmente,\u00a0 est\u00e1 buscando nuevos consumidores y \u00bfQui\u00e9nes son? Pues, los j\u00f3venes.<strong> Y env\u00edan mensajes de que tienen deliciosos olores y sabores. Es una trampa para la juventud<\/strong>\u201d, asegura el gerente general de la SAV.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Por su parte, Orsoni advierte que tanto el cigarrillo tradicional, como el electr\u00f3nico, causan graves problemas a la salud en este grupo poblacional, debido a la nicotina\u00a0 y a otras sustancias \u201cmuy peligrosas\u201d, que se agregan a los vapers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cEn los ni\u00f1os y adolescentes, la nicotina que contiene el cigarro y que tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 presente en los vapers, <strong>causan problemas de desarrollo a nivel cerebral<\/strong> (&#8230;) Y los j\u00f3venes que empiezan a fumar presentan trastornos de conducta y personalidad, \u00a0afectan las relaciones con sus padres y causa otra serie de problemas que son propios de una adicci\u00f3n\u201d, indica Orsoni.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El neum\u00f3logo se\u00f1ala que hay evidencia cient\u00edfica de que los vapers\u00a0 utilizan sustancias y aditivos como la glicerina, el properinicol, el bezoato de bencilo y algunos \u201ccartuchos modificados\u201d; tambi\u00e9n pueden contener incluso derivados del cannabis o la marihuana y acetato de vitamina E.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cCuando estas\u00a0 sustancias se calientan y se vaporizan causan da\u00f1os pulmonares severos, que pueden ocasionar la muerte, como ocurri\u00f3 el a\u00f1o pasado en Estados Unidos, donde fallecieron alrededor de 50 j\u00f3venes\u201d, coment\u00f3 el especialista del Grupo M\u00e9dico Santa Paula.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Da\u00f1os del tabaco para los fumadores pasivos<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ambos especialistas advierten que el uso del <strong>vaper<\/strong> no solo afecta la salud de quien lo usa, sino tambi\u00e9n a los que se conocen como \u201cfumadores pasivos\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Orsoni explica que como las sustancias nocivas del cigarrillo electr\u00f3nico se vaporizan, tambi\u00e9n entran a los pulmones de los que rodean al fumador y son tan nocivas, aunque en menor proporci\u00f3n, para quienes no fuman. A estas personas adem\u00e1s les ocasiona rinitis y cuadros al\u00e9rgicos que afectan\u00a0 los ojos y otras mucosas, seg\u00fan la evidencia cient\u00edfica.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Mitos y campa\u00f1a contra el cigarrillo electr\u00f3nico <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Este a\u00f1o, la campa\u00f1a de la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud (OMS) contra el consumo del tabaco est\u00e1 orientada a los j\u00f3venes, explica Saavedra, para desmentir esa \u201cpublicidad tramposa\u201d que utilizan las tabacaleras para llegar a ese grupo poblacional.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Orsoni se\u00f1ala que uno de los \u201cmensajes enga\u00f1osos\u201d\u00a0 que la industria del vaper utiliz\u00f3 era que el producto no ten\u00eda efectos negativos para la salud y que ayudaba a dejar el cigarro. <strong>\u201cNo es menos peligroso el cigarrillo electr\u00f3nico que el tradicional y ambos son igualmente adictivos\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Para impulsar esta campa\u00f1a y a prop\u00f3sito del<strong> D\u00eda Mundial sin Tabaco,<\/strong> el GMSP conjuntamente con\u00a0 la SAV han organizado una transmisi\u00f3n en vivo por el canal de Youtube, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UC8dfp4BEgjQ4t-80Uv6T-Rw\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UC8dfp4BEgjQ4t-80Uv6T-Rw<\/a>, el pr\u00f3ximo jueves 28 de mayo a las 11:00 am, a los fines de concientizar y brindar herramientas a los j\u00f3venes y padres, sobre el nocivo h\u00e1bito del tabaquismo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Adem\u00e1s de la vocer\u00eda m\u00e9dica, tambi\u00e9n participar\u00e1 el profesor Sarino Emmi, director de Orientaci\u00f3n del Colegio Los Arcos, quien abordar\u00e1 el tema de la familia y la escuela, como soporte social del
