En la \u00a0actualidad afecta mayoritariamente a las mujeres, a los adolescentes y al adulto mayor.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Para la doctora <strong>Solisbella Pe\u00f1a, psiquiatra del Grupo M\u00e9dico Santa Paula (GMSP<\/strong>),\u00a0 quien participar\u00e1 con una charla sobre los tratamientos de la depresi\u00f3n en la <strong>Jornada\u00a0 gratuita de Salud Mental \u00a0\u00a0\u201cSuperando la Depresi\u00f3n\u201d<\/strong>, \u00a0que realizar\u00e1n el 31 de enero en los espacios del Grupo M\u00e9dico Santa Paula, de 8.00 am a 2.00 pm, es importante buscar ayuda en familiares o amigos para lograr conectar con un especialista, ya sea psic\u00f3logo o psiquiatra.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u201cLa <strong>depresi\u00f3n puede ser diagnosticada<\/strong> como leve, moderada, grave o severa y\u00a0 de all\u00ed va a depender el tipo de tratamiento a realizar. En algunos casos el ejercicio o caminar puede ser el complemento del tratamiento farmacol\u00f3gico as\u00ed como otras actividades. Hoy en d\u00eda es m\u00e1s recurrente los tres niveles y van acompa\u00f1adas de mucha ansiedad, especialmente porque hay incertidumbre\u201d, explic\u00f3 Pe\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Mujeres y \u00a0adultos mayores v\u00edctimas de la depresi\u00f3n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cifras de la <strong>Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud <\/strong>(OMS) se\u00f1alan que la depresi\u00f3n es un trastorno mental frecuente que afecta a m\u00e1s de 300 millones de personas en el mundo y es la principal causa mundial de discapacidad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En Venezuela, seg\u00fan explica la doctora Pe\u00f1a, \u201clos pacientes mayoritariamente son mujeres de 40 a\u00f1os y hay muchos adultos mayores, de m\u00e1s 60 a\u00f1os, quienes se quedaron solos porque sus hijos y familiares se fueron del pa\u00eds. Hay casos en los que familias de m\u00e1s de 10 integrantes ahora s\u00f3lo quedan 2\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La <strong>doctora Solisbella Pe\u00f1a,<\/strong> quien estar\u00e1 acompa\u00f1ada del psiquiatra <strong>Nicol\u00e1s Malandra<\/strong>, durante la charla <strong>\u201cTratamientos multimodales, terapias y f\u00e1rmacos para la depresi\u00f3n\u201d,<\/strong> explic\u00f3 que durante la jornada gratuita prevista en el GMSP, \u00a0abrir\u00e1n un espacio luego de la charla, para que las personas que asistan puedan hacer sus preguntas a los expertos de la salud mental.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cDurante la \u00a0charla abordaremos los <strong>tratamientos para superar la depresi\u00f3n<\/strong> y <strong>qu\u00e9 hacer cuando te sientes deprimido<\/strong>. Tambi\u00e9n se hablar\u00e1 del duelo, c\u00f3mo afecta el estado de \u00e1nimo la situaci\u00f3n pa\u00eds y sus consecuencias.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<strong>Consecuencias de no atender la depresi\u00f3n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La depresi\u00f3n trae consigo un proceso muy serio para el paciente \u201cque de no ser tratado puede llevarlo al aislamiento. Se puede registrar p\u00e9rdida de peso, porque dejan de comer y por tanto llegar a la desnutrici\u00f3n; e inclusive puede llevar a la muerte, porque se abandona. Las alteraciones del sue\u00f1o, dolores agudos en la espalda, migra\u00f1as, palpitaciones, son otros de los s\u00edntomas.
