El pa\u00eds n\u00f3rdico pasa a pertenecer a la Alianza Atl\u00e1ntica tras un r\u00e1pido ingreso tras el estallido de la guerra en Ucrania.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
\u00ab\u00a1Damos la bienvenida a Finlandia a la Alianza!\u00bb, declar\u00f3 el Secretario General de la OTAN, Jens Stoltenberg, mientras el Ministro de Asuntos Exteriores finland\u00e9s, Pekka Haavisto, depositaba el instrumento de adhesi\u00f3n de Finlandia ante el gobierno de Estados Unidos, representado por el Secretario de Estado Antony Blinken. A continuaci\u00f3n el Secretario General dio la bienvenida al Presidente finland\u00e9s Sauli Niinist\u00f6 a la sede de la OTAN para asistir a una ceremonia de izado de bandera con motivo de la adhesi\u00f3n del pa\u00eds a la Alianza.<\/p>\n
Antes de la ceremonia, el Secretario General dio las gracias al Presidente Niinist\u00f6 por su extraordinario liderazgo y por conducir a Finlandia a la Alianza m\u00e1s exitosa de la historia. \u00abEstoy profundamente orgulloso de dar la bienvenida a Finlandia como miembro de pleno derecho de nuestra Alianza y espero poder dar tambi\u00e9n la bienvenida a Suecia lo antes posible\u00bb, declar\u00f3. \u00abLa entrada en la OTAN es buena para Finlandia, es buena para la seguridad n\u00f3rdica y es buena para la OTAN en su conjunto\u00bb, a\u00f1adi\u00f3. El Secretario General tambi\u00e9n se\u00f1al\u00f3 que la adhesi\u00f3n de Finlandia demuestra al mundo que el Presidente Putin no ha conseguido \u00abcerrar de golpe la puerta de la OTAN\u00bb. \u00abEn lugar de menos OTAN, ha conseguido lo contrario; m\u00e1s OTAN y nuestra puerta permanece firmemente abierta\u00bb, afirm\u00f3.<\/p>\n
Se interpretaron el himno nacional finland\u00e9s y el himno de la OTAN, mientras se izaba por primera vez la bandera de Finlandia en el exterior de la sede de la OTAN, en presencia del Presidente Niinist\u00f6, el Ministro de Asuntos Exteriores Haavisto, el Ministro de Defensa Kaikkonen, los ministros de Asuntos Exteriores de todos los Aliados de la OTAN y Suecia, pa\u00eds invitado. Se celebraron ceremonias simult\u00e1neas de izado de bandera en el Mando Aliado de Operaciones (SHAPE) en Mons (B\u00e9lgica) y en el Mando Aliado de Transformaci\u00f3n en Norfolk, Virginia (Estados Unidos). Junto al Presidente Niinist\u00f6, el Secretario General declar\u00f3: \u00abFinlandia est\u00e1 m\u00e1s segura y la OTAN es m\u00e1s fuerte con Finlandia como Aliado. Sus fuerzas son considerables y muy capaces, su capacidad de resistencia es insuperable y durante muchos a\u00f1os las tropas de Finlandia y de los pa\u00edses de la OTAN han trabajado codo con codo como socios.
