Se trata del\u00a0\u201cNew Deal for New Americans Act\u201d (\u201cLey de Nuevo Trato para los Nuevos Americanos\u201d)\u00a0que se enfoca, principalmente, a asegurar la integraci\u00f3n de los extranjeros a la sociedad estadounidense, al darles acceso a educaci\u00f3n, capacitaci\u00f3n laboral y subsidios de vivienda, entre otros.<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<div id=\"NTV_placement\"><\/div>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\">La norma va en sentido contrario a los ajustes recientes hechos por el presidente\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/eldiariony.com\/tema\/donald-trump\/\">Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0que, de ganar en cortes, estar\u00eda apuntalado con la regla de\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/eldiariony.com\/tema\/carga-publica\">\u201ccarga p\u00fablica\u201d<\/a>, pero se complementa otros ajustes, como exigir seguro m\u00e9dico a los residentes permanentes, complicar la\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/eldiariony.com\/2019\/10\/25\/uscis-endurece-proceso-para-solicitar-exencion-de-pago-de-servicios-migratorios\/\">exenci\u00f3n de pago a portadores de \u201cgreen card\u201d que quieran naturalizarse, entre otros<\/a>.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\">La nueva propuesta es impulsada por los representantes\u00a0Grace Meng\u00a0(D-NY),\u00a0Pramila Jayapal\u00a0(D-WA) y\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/eldiariony.com\/tema\/jesus-chuy-garcia\">Jes\u00fas \u201cChuy\u201d Garc\u00eda<\/a>\u00a0(D-IL), quienes consideran que su plan establecer\u00eda programas de asistencia para inmigrantes y refugiados a fin de superar las barreras del idioma y la complejidad para encontrar empleo y ayudar\u00eda a la naturalizaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 id=\"paragraphs_desktop_pos1\"><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Cerca de 100 organizaciones civiles y pol\u00edticos apoyan el proyecto, incluidas National Partnership for New Americans (NPNA), CASA, Make the Road, New York Immigration Coalition, Workers Defense Project, We Are All America y Mi Familia Vota, as\u00ed como los alcaldes\u00a0Sylvester Turner\u00a0(Houston, Texas),\u00a0Jenny A. Durkan\u00a0(Seattle, Washington),\u00a0Jacob Frey\u00a0(Minneapolis, Minnesota),\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/eldiariony.com\/tema\/eric-garcetti\">Eric Garcetti<\/a>\u00a0(L.A., California) y\u00a0Tim Keller\u00a0(Albuquerque, Nuevo M\u00e9xico).<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\">La principal propuesta es crear una Oficina Nacional de Nuevos Americanos, que depender\u00eda de la Oficina Ejecutiva de la Casa Blanca, para coordinar los esfuerzos de los gobiernos federales, estatales y locales para apoyar a favor de inmigrantes y refugiados.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Adem\u00e1s crear\u00eda un\u00a0Programa de Subsidios de Servicios Legales y Asistencia de Inmigraci\u00f3n para apoyar a las organizaciones que brindan asistencia directa de inmigraci\u00f3n, como aquellos que necesitan un examen de inmigraci\u00f3n; educaci\u00f3n sobre conocer sus derechos; asistencia para solicitar la ciudadan\u00eda, el cambio de estatus de residente permanente o aplicar a cualquier otro programa de protecci\u00f3n (<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/eldiariony.com\/tema\/daca\">DACA<\/a>, TPS, etc.), incluso ayudar a detener una deportaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Impulsa una plataforma para ense\u00f1ar ingl\u00e9s, adem\u00e1s de un Programa de Subvenci\u00f3n para el Desarrollo de la Fuerza Laboral, a fin de optimizar las habilidades de estos extranjeros e integrarlos a la fuerza laboral.<\/span><\/h4>\n<div id=\"paragraphs_desktop_pos2\"><\/div>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Los congresistas buscan limitar la capacidad de la oficina de Servicios de Ciudadan\u00eda e Inmigraci\u00f3n (<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/eldiariony.com\/tema\/uscis\">USCIS<\/a>) para aumentar las tarifas sin la aprobaci\u00f3n del Congreso, adem\u00e1s de restringirle acciones en casos, al tener que solicitar la autorizaci\u00f3n de congresistas.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\">La\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/116th-congress\/house-bill\/4928?q=%7B%22search%22%3A%5B%22meng%22%5D%7D&amp;s=1&amp;r=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">H.R.4928<\/a>\u00a0fue remitida al Comit\u00e9 de la Judicatura, al de Educaci\u00f3n y Trabajo, Administraci\u00f3n de la C\u00e1mara, Asuntos Exteriores y Seguridad Nacional.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Destaca tambi\u00e9n que se busque reducir la edad en que un joven puede solicitar a miembros de su familia, al pasar de 21 a 18 a\u00f1os de edad.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 id=\"paragraphs_desktop_pos3\"><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cLos economistas de todas partes han demostrado una y otra vez que los inmigrantes y refugiados contribuyen m\u00e1s a nuestra naci\u00f3n.
