{"id":40513,"date":"2024-03-06T16:31:00","date_gmt":"2024-03-06T20:31:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/noti-america.com\/site\/principal\/?p=40513"},"modified":"2024-03-06T16:31:00","modified_gmt":"2024-03-06T20:31:00","slug":"dormir-menos-de-cinco-horas-eleva-riesgo-de-enfermedades","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/noti-america.com\/site\/principal\/2024\/03\/06\/dormir-menos-de-cinco-horas-eleva-riesgo-de-enfermedades\/","title":{"rendered":"Dormir menos de cinco horas eleva riesgo de enfermedades"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NOTI-AMERICA.COM | M\u00c9XICO \u2013 Los adultos de m\u00e1s de 50 a\u00f1os que duermen cinco horas o menos por las noches tienen m\u00e1s riesgo de desarrollar varias enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas en comparaci\u00f3n con los que duermen siete horas, seg\u00fan un estudio publicado este martes en la revista PLOS Medicine.<\/p>\n<p>La investigaci\u00f3n, liderada por S\u00e9verine Sabia, de la Universidad de Par\u00eds Cit\u00e9 y del University College de Londres, analiz\u00f3 el impacto de la duraci\u00f3n del sue\u00f1o en la salud de 7.864 personas de 50, 60 y 70 a\u00f1os incluidas en el estudio Whitehall II, que recoge datos de trabajadores de la administraci\u00f3n p\u00fablica brit\u00e1nica desde 1985.<\/p>\n<p>Los investigadores examinaron la relaci\u00f3n entre el tiempo de sue\u00f1o, la mortalidad y el diagn\u00f3stico de dos o m\u00e1s enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas (multimorbilidad) como enfermedades card\u00edacas, c\u00e1ncer o diabetes en los \u00faltimos 25 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan los resultados, los que declararon haber dormido cinco horas o menos a los 50 a\u00f1os ten\u00edan un 20% m\u00e1s de probabilidades de ser diagnosticadas de una enfermedad cr\u00f3nica y un 40% m\u00e1s de probabilidades de ser diagnosticadas de dos o m\u00e1s enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas (multimorbilidad) en los siguientes 25 a\u00f1os, en comparaci\u00f3n con las personas que dorm\u00edan hasta siete horas.<\/p>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n descubrieron que quienes dorm\u00edan cinco horas o menos a los 50 a\u00f1os ten\u00edan un 25% m\u00e1s de riesgo de mortalidad en los siguientes 25 a\u00f1os, debido -apunta el estudio- a que la corta duraci\u00f3n del sue\u00f1o aumenta el riesgo de padecer enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas que incrementan el riesgo de muerte.<\/p>\n<p>Severine Sabia, investigadora del Instituto de Epidemiolog\u00eda y Salud de la UCL y autora principal, advierte de que \u00abla multimorbilidad va en aumento en los pa\u00edses de renta alta y m\u00e1s de la mitad de los adultos mayores padecen ya al menos dos enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas, lo que est\u00e1 suponiendo un gran reto para la salud p\u00fablica, ya que la multimorbilidad se asocia a un elevado uso de los servicios sanitarios, las hospitalizaciones y la discapacidad\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abA medida que las personas envejecen, sus h\u00e1bitos de sue\u00f1o y su estructura cambian pero es importante dormir entre 7 y 8 horas por noche\u00bb, avisa.<\/p>\n<p>Para garantizar un mejor sue\u00f1o nocturno, el estudio aconseja promover una buena higiene del sue\u00f1o, como asegurarse de que el dormitorio est\u00e9 tranquilo, oscuro y con una temperatura agradable antes de dormir.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NOTI-AMERICA.COM | M\u00c9XICO \u2013 Los adultos de m\u00e1s de 50 a\u00f1os que duermen cinco horas o menos por las noches tienen m\u00e1s riesgo de desarrollar varias enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas en comparaci\u00f3n con los que duermen&#46;&#46;&#46;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":133,"featured_media":40514,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"image","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"rop_custom_images_group":[],"rop_custom_messages_group":[],"rop_publish_now":"initial","rop_publish_now_accounts":{"facebook_10219548024599422_1632221337088128":"","twitter_242054905_242054905":""},"rop_publish_now_history":[],"rop_publish_now_status":"pending","footnotes":""},"categories":[663],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-40513","post","type-post","status-publish","format-image","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-actualidad","post_format-post-format-image"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v24.9 (Yoast SEO v27.2) -
