Eva Kaili ya tiene sustituto. El nuevo vicepresidente de la Euroc\u00e1mara en su sustituci\u00f3n ser\u00e1 el luxemburgu\u00e9s Marc Angel.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
El mi\u00e9rcoles, en votaci\u00f3n secreta, Marc ANGEL (S&D, LU) recibi\u00f3 la mayor\u00eda absoluta de los votos emitidos y fue elegido Vicepresidente del Parlamento Europeo, tras dos rondas de votaci\u00f3n. Ha sido elegido en la segunda, donde ha recibido 307 votos. Necesitaba 296 para ser elegido.<\/p>\n
La destituci\u00f3n de Kaili<\/strong><\/p>\n
Una mayoria casi completa de eurodiputados, 625 votos a favor, un voto en contra y dos abstenciones, respaldaron la decisi\u00f3n de que Eva Kaili no siga ocupando una de las vicepresidencias del PE el pasado mes de diciembre. Eso supera la doble mayor\u00eda requerida de al menos dos tercios de los votos emitidos y la mayor\u00eda de miembros que componen la C\u00e1mara. Anteriormente, Kaili hab\u00eda sido ya expulsada del Pasok, el partido socialista de Grecia y suspendida de los Socialdem\u00f3cratas europeos.<\/p>\n
La votaci\u00f3n se ha basado en el art\u00edculo 21 del Reglamento del Parlamento, en el contexto de las investigaciones en B\u00e9lgica que implican a miembros y personal del PE. La pol\u00edcia belga ha realizado ya 20 registros, 19 de ellos en domicilios y uno en el Parlamento Europeo, en los que ha incautado sobre un mill\u00f3n y medio de euros. El procedimiento de destituci\u00f3n de Kaili fue iniciado por la Conferencia de Presidentes (compuesta por la presidenta del PE y los l\u00edderes de los grupos pol\u00edticos).<\/p>\n
El caso, que a\u00fan est\u00e1 en desarrollo, implica a varias personas m\u00e1s relacionadas con la Euroc\u00e1mara. Por ahora hay cuatro detenidos m\u00e1s adem\u00e1s de Kaili: su pareja Francesco Giorgi, que trabajaba como asistente parlamentario, el ex eurodiputado Antonio Panzeri y Niccolo Fig\u00e0-Talamanca.<\/p>\n
