Un equipo de investigadores liderado por el Instituto del Mar del Per\u00fa (IMARPE) describi\u00f3 la nueva especie de babosa marina (Nudibranquia Tritonia peruviana), un hallazgo que ampl\u00eda el conocimiento de la biodiversidad marina nacional y fortalece el estudio de los ecosistemas asociados a la Corriente de Humboldt, uno de los sistemas marinos m\u00e1s productivos del planeta.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p>\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10347 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/noti-america.com\/site\/peru\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2026\/06\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-06-27-at-9.44.28-PM.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"343\" srcset=\"https:\/\/noti-america.com\/site\/peru\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2026\/06\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-06-27-at-9.44.28-PM.jpeg 500w, https:\/\/noti-america.com\/site\/peru\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2026\/06\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-06-27-at-9.44.28-PM-300x206.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">La investigaci\u00f3n fue desarrollada por los cient\u00edficos Roberto Uribe y Fabiola Zavalaga, del IMARPE, en colaboraci\u00f3n con Alejandro Mend\u00edvil, de la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, y Fabiola Sep\u00falveda, de la Universidad de Antofagasta (Chile), fortaleciendo la cooperaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica entre instituciones nacionales e internacionales.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">La presentaci\u00f3n oficial del estudio se realiz\u00f3 durante en una ceremonia celebrada en la Casa de la Cultura de la Regi\u00f3n La Libertad, en la ciudad de Trujillo, donde se rindi\u00f3 homenaje al equipo de investigadores por el importante logro cient\u00edfico.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10345 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/noti-america.com\/site\/peru\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2026\/06\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-06-27-at-9.45.18-PM.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/noti-america.com\/site\/peru\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2026\/06\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-06-27-at-9.45.18-PM.jpeg 500w, https:\/\/noti-america.com\/site\/peru\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2026\/06\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-06-27-at-9.45.18-PM-300x203.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Durante la ceremonia, el contralmirante Jorge Paz Acosta, presidente ejecutivo del IMARPE, destac\u00f3 que \u201cla identificaci\u00f3n de tritonia peruviana representa un avance significativo para el conocimiento de la biodiversidad marina del Per\u00fa y demuestra que la investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica constituye una herramienta fundamental para comprender, conservar y gestionar sosteniblemente los ecosistemas marinos\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Asimismo, resalt\u00f3 que \u201ceste reconocimiento pone en valor el trabajo que desarrollan las sedes descentralizadas del IMARPE, especialmente en el Laboratorio Costero de Huanchaco, como centros estrat\u00e9gicos para la investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica del litoral peruano, as\u00ed como el papel articulador de la sede central y el valioso aporte de la academia mediante la colaboraci\u00f3n con la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos y la Universidad de Antofagasta.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Por su parte, Roberto Uribe, investigador de la sede descentralizada de Huanchaco, explic\u00f3 que la descripci\u00f3n de tritonia peruviana se realiz\u00f3 mediante un enfoque cient\u00edfico integrativo que combin\u00f3 estudios anat\u00f3micos, an\u00e1lisis moleculares y evaluaciones ecol\u00f3gicas.
