Para su desarrollo se ha firmado un contrato gubernamental r\u00e9cord con Intel. La popular compa\u00f1\u00eda de procesadores de Silicon Valley es la proveedora de la mayor\u00eda de supercomputadoras. Sin embargo, los chips de acelerador adicionales tambi\u00e9n se consideran clave para alcanzar las velocidades m\u00e1s altas, como las que se pretenden para este nuevo supercomputador. La empresa rival de Intel, Nvidia ha desarrollado su negocio adaptando chips usados inicialmente en videojuegos para su uso posterior en supercomputadoras.
