\"\"El Gobierno y el sector privado fortalecen la cadena de reciclaje en Ecuador frente al creciente desaf\u00edo ambiental que representa el aumento de los residuos pl\u00e1sticos a nivel mundial. En este contexto, el Ministerio de Producci\u00f3n, con el apoyo del Cl\u00faster de la Industria del Pl\u00e1stico y ASEPLAS, present\u00f3 el programa \u201cManos que Transforman\u201d, una iniciativa orientada a mejorar las condiciones laborales y la capacitaci\u00f3n de recicladores de base.<\/p>\n

El plan beneficiar\u00e1 a 600 recicladores \u2014300 en Guayaquil y 300 en Quito\u2014 mediante formaci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica especializada, entrega de equipamiento y seguimiento de impacto. La iniciativa busca profesionalizar la actividad, promover condiciones de trabajo seguras y fortalecer el v\u00ednculo entre los recicladores y la industria transformadora dentro de un modelo de econom\u00eda circular.<\/p>\n

Uno de los pilares que sostiene este sistema es el Impuesto Redimible a las Botellas Pl\u00e1sticas (IRBP), vigente desde 2012, que establece una devoluci\u00f3n de USD 0,02 por cada envase recuperado. Este mecanismo asigna un valor econ\u00f3mico al PET, incentivando su recolecci\u00f3n y reduciendo la dependencia de las fluctuaciones del mercado internacional del pl\u00e1stico virgen.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan datos del sector, en 2025 unas 40.000 toneladas de PET ingresaron a procesos de transformaci\u00f3n industrial, involucrando a m\u00e1s de 1.500 recicladores y generando un impacto indirecto en alrededor de 50.000 familias. Adem\u00e1s, la industria contin\u00faa ampliando su capacidad, con inversiones que buscan consolidar el reciclaje como un eje estructural de la econom\u00eda circular en el pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
