La Organizaci\u00f3n No Gubernamental espa\u00f1ola \u00abAyuda en Acci\u00f3n\u00bb don\u00f3 equipos respiratorio para atender a pacientes con COVID-19.<\/p><\/div>\n

El Ministerio de Salud\u00a0 recibi\u00f3 un segundo cargamento con 15 respiradores Oxyvita Emergency Ventilator,\u00a0<\/em>donados por la Organizaci\u00f3n No Gubernamental (ONG) espa\u00f1ola Ayuda en Acci\u00f3n, para fortalecer el sistema sanitario del pa\u00eds ante la pandemia por la COVID-19.<\/p>\n

Hace un mes, esta cartera de Estado recept\u00f3 los primeros ocho (8) respiradores en el aeropuerto Mariscal Sucre, de un total de 50. A la fecha suman 23 equipos donados. Seg\u00fan el cronograma de distribuci\u00f3n de esta organizaci\u00f3n internacional, el tercer embarque, con los 27 restantes, arribar\u00e1n a Ecuador en octubre.<\/p>\n

La inversi\u00f3n internacional alcanz\u00f3 los USD 110 mil. De ese total, USD 70 mil corresponden a los respiradores y USD 40 mil por concepto del traslado de los equipos, que fue costeado por las aerol\u00edneas Air Europa e Iberia.<\/p>\n

Para el pa\u00eds, esta contribuci\u00f3n significa un ahorro econ\u00f3mico y, adem\u00e1s, un apoyo enorme para aumentar su capacidad de atenci\u00f3n en los hospitales del pa\u00eds, se\u00f1al\u00f3 el ministro de Salud, Juan Carlos Zevallos.<\/p>\n

En un evento oficial, en la embajada de Espa\u00f1a en Quito, el Ministro de Salud aplaudi\u00f3 este gran gesto humanitario y, a nombre del pueblo ecuatoriano y del Gobierno Nacional, agradeci\u00f3 la cooperaci\u00f3n. \u201cGracias por estos ventiladores, pues la utilidad de cada uno salvar\u00e1 varias vidas\u201d, expres\u00f3.<\/p>\n

En la cita estuvieron presentes Carlos Abella y de Ar\u00edstegui, embajador de Espa\u00f1a en Ecuador; Carlos Hern\u00e1ndez, director Nacional de Ayuda en Acci\u00f3n y Cristina Fuentes, directora de Cooperaci\u00f3n No Gubernamental y Evaluaci\u00f3n de la Canciller\u00eda. Adem\u00e1s, participaron autoridades de las aerol\u00edneas Air Europa e Iberia, C\u00e1mara de Comercio de Espa\u00f1a y de la Agencia de Cooperaci\u00f3n Internacional.<\/p>\n

Carlos Hern\u00e1ndez resalt\u00f3 la segunda entrega y precis\u00f3 que estos equipos son fabricados a bajo costo, con un valor que bordea los 1.000 euros. \u201cEcuador es el primer pa\u00eds de la regi\u00f3n en recibirlos y trabajamos para futuras donaciones en Per\u00fa, Bolivia y Honduras\u201d, asegur\u00f3. Record\u00f3 que, al inicio de la pandemia, la ONG tambi\u00e9n ayud\u00f3 con kits alimenticios y de higiene para m\u00e1s de 30 mil personas, atenci\u00f3n psicosocial para 1700 ciudadanos y trajes de equipos de protecci\u00f3n para el personal de salud.<\/p>\n

Ante la posibilidad de producir respiradores similares en Ecuador, reiter\u00f3 su total apoyo para que sea una realidad la fabricaci\u00f3n y certificaci\u00f3n como producto ecuatoriano. \u201cLa cooperaci\u00f3n es unir esfuerzos entre instituciones p\u00fablicas y privadas, y as\u00ed lo hemos logrado\u201d, recalc\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Los respiradores fueron dise\u00f1ados por un consorcio de empresas espa\u00f1olas conformado por Lyntia, McFly Technologies, Vithas, Ennomotive y Fundaci\u00f3n Vithas.<\/p>\n

El embajador Abella y de Ar\u00edstegui felicit\u00f3 a las personas que fabricaron estos respiradores, pues servir\u00e1n para la recuperaci\u00f3n de los pacientes infectados por el coronavirus. \u201cEspa\u00f1a es solidaria con el mundo, y m\u00e1s con Ecuador.
