El 4 de julio de 2021 ser\u00e1, sin duda, un d\u00eda hist\u00f3rico en nuestro pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>La nueva representante es doctora en Humanidades y en Literatura, adem\u00e1s de acad\u00e9mica del Departamento de Educaci\u00f3n de la Facultad de Humanidades de la Universidad de Santiago gan\u00f3 la elecci\u00f3n en una segunda vuelta luego de que la representante mapuche recibiera el apoyo de los que, en primera instancia, hab\u00edan votado por Isabel Godoy, representante del pueblo Kolla.<\/p>\n<p>Luego de ser proclamada como la persona que estar\u00e1 a cargo de liderar a los 155 miembros que escribir\u00e1n la propuesta de una nueva Constituci\u00f3n para el pa\u00eds, dio un emotivo discurso que estuvo marcado por el llamado a la unidad y a la conformaci\u00f3n de \u201cun nuevo Chile\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Es posible hermanas y hermanos refundar este Chile, establecer una nueva relaci\u00f3n entre el pueblo mapuche, las naciones originarias, y todas las que conforman este pa\u00eds\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sus palabras comenzaron con un saludo en mapudung\u00fan y luego siguieron las palabras en espa\u00f1ol, agradeciendo el apoyo de las coaliciones que la llevaron a la testera de la Convenci\u00f3n, calificando el hecho como un sue\u00f1o. \u201cSe forma un nuevo Chile, plural, pluriling\u00fce, con todas las culturas. Este sue\u00f1o es un sue\u00f1o de nuestros antepasados. Es posible hermanas y hermanos refundar este Chile\u201d, fue parte del discurso que entreg\u00f3 al asumir la presidencia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAgradecerle el apoyo a las diferentes coaliciones que entregaron su confianza y apoyaron su sue\u00f1o en el llamado que hiciera la naci\u00f3n mapuche. Estamos felices por esta fuerza que nos dan, esta fuerza es para todo el pueblo de Chile, para todos los sectores, las regiones, los pueblos y naciones originarias que nos acompa\u00f1an. Esta Convenci\u00f3n que me toca presidir transformar\u00e1 a Chile en un Chile plurinacional, intercultural, en un Chile que no atente contra los derechos de las mujeres, de las cuidadoras, en un Chile que cuide la madre tierra.
